Position Summary:

This role plays an essential role in improving business processes, focusing on enhancing customer satisfaction, cost reduction, and overall process optimization. This involves creating a business wide culture of Continuous improvement by identifying the opportunities for improvement, leveraging data analysis, deploying lean principles and using personal influence to drive action - collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The Continuous Improvement leader drives the culture of continuous improvement, where incremental changes lead to significant impacts on business performance aligned with the organization’s long-term goals.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive the culture of business wide continuous improvement

  • Lead regular monthly continuous improvement council reviews

  • Support cross-functional teams in the identification, prioritization, and execution of process improvement projects, utilizing methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, or Kaizen to enhance operational excellence, efficiencies and reduce waste.

  • Design and implement measurement systems to track the effectiveness of process improvements, including the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and the use of statistical process control (SPC) tools.

  • Facilitate problem-solving sessions and workshops to address specific operational challenges, utilizing root cause analysis (RCA) and other problem-solving techniques to identify and eliminate sources of inefficiencies.

  • Collaborate with IT and systems engineering teams to identify and implement technology solutions that support process improvements, such as automation tools, software enhancements or new system integrations.

  • Train and mentor staff at all levels on continuous improvement concepts and tools, fostering a culture of ongoing improvement and empowering employes to contribute to efficiency efforts.

  • Investigate and apply emerging methodologies and technologies in the field of continuous improvement, such as predictive analytics, machine learning, or internet of Things (loT) applications, to drive innovation and future-proof business processes.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Education: Engineering qualifications, with a preference for majors in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Demonstrable related work experience leading CI projects

  • Statistics, quality control, process design and project management experience

  • Process optimization, quality management and lean manufacturing principles

  • Focuses on continuous improvement methodologies, i.e., Six Sigma certification (preferred)

  • Proven track record of successfully implementing project, efficiently.

  • Data analysis, project management, and cross functional team collaboration are essential.

  • Solid foundation in identifying process gaps, driving innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbally and written

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office with a focus on Word and Power Point.

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Education: master’s degree; Engineering, with a preference for majors in Industrial Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Demonstrable related work experience

    Travel:

  • This position requires traveling up to 40% of the time.
